I'd like to plant a couple more deer repellent plants at my mother's gravesite. I have peonies there right now, and they're doing wonderfully, but the spot needs more green and hosta just do not work at all (which is a shame, since she loved hosta).
Any suggestions? The plants also need to be rather hardy, since I do not live in town and can't get there regularly to check in, and they need to be a of a medium-to-small size, since it's a gravesite. Kinda has to be a plant, water, and off-you-go kind of thing.
