Hoping someone here might have some ideas. I need to rid an area by the pool(and future expanded garden area) of poison ivy. A few weeks ago I worked on pulling some up(yes I had on gloves) but found out the hard way I am VERY allergic. 3 weeks and 2 doses of prednisone later I'm not looking to get my hands on it again but am looking for a way to get rid of it ASAP. I tried Roundup for Poison Ivy and I swear the stuff was bigger the next day. It looks a little worse today but still need to pull it out safely without getting another attack(believe me I'll be VERY careful this time if I can't get someone else to do it for me).
Has anyone made any homemade weed killers that work on poison ivy? At the moment I'm not concerned too much with killing whats around it since I want to clear that area anyways and start over. I'm considering just pouring a vinegar solution on it, but will this make the soil too acidic to plant something in afterwards?
Thoughts?
